Fretwork is a cowl of delightful surprises. One side boasts an ornamental charm that mimics lush cabling but requires none — carefully placed three-stitch clusters create the illusion with minimal effort. The other side reveals a subtler, geometric texture that begs a closer look. Though named after a precise technique of decorative carving, Fretwork knits up easily and quickly in Quarry and is sure to add a refined statement to any ensemble.

- The cowl is worked circularly from the bottom up.
- The cowl’s subtle taper is created by way of needle shaping; three needle sizes are used while knitting the cowl.
