Cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece, sleeves are worked in the round so there is no seaming required. The matching hat is also worked in the round.
The Cardigan has a lovely detailed pattern around the lower body and also around the hat. If the Cardigan and hat are worked up in Wild Earth yarns they will certainly be very cozy and warm as I feel this is a slightly denser 8ply DK yarn.
Please note: If you want your finished garment to look the same as the pictured garment, I recommended blocking the garment as the pattern does tend to pull in your work.
I HAVE GRADED THIS PATTERN AS BEING SUITABLE FOR THE INTERMEDIATE KNITTER.

B -- 6-9 months
C -- 12-18 months
D -- 2 years
E -- 4 years
F -- 6 years

HAT SIZES
A -- Newborn
B -- Baby
C -- Toddler
D – Child

NEEDLES REQUIRED
4 mm (US 6 : UK8) circular needles, 40 cm (16 in) and 60 cm (24 in) long.
One set of double pointed 4 mm (US 6 : UK 8) needles, or size needle to obtain tension.
One set of double pointed 3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) needles, or size needle to obtain tension.
If preferred when knitting the sleeves you could work the Magic Loop method.

OTHER MATERIALS
8 stitch markers
Darning needle to sew in ends
5 6 : 6 : 7 : 7 : 8 buttons

TENSION
22 sts x 40 rounds = 10 cm (4 in) worked in garter stitch on 4 mm (US 6 : UK 8) needles.

Wild earth yarns, Eden 8 ply DK. (100% Polwarth wool, 110 m / 120 yds per 50 g).

D -- 235 grams / 515 metres / 565yards
E -- 295 grams / 650 metres / 710 yards

A -- 30 grams / 70 metres / 75 yards
B -- 35 grams / 80 metres / 85 yards
C -- 45 grams / 100 metres / 110 yards
