Frida Kahlo Amigurumi
by Ann D'Angelo
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
As you almost certainly know, Frida Kahlo was a 20th-century Mexican painter. This pattern produces an adorable little amigurumi version of Frida with an exaggerated version of her “unibrow.”
There’s no real fancy footwork here; required stitches include sc, HDC, and DC. Extras are also pretty minimal. You’ll need 6mm safety eyes and (if desired) beads to make Frida a necklace.
The finished Frida stands about 6 inches tall.
You can find the pattern in the Summer 2014 issue of Art Trader Magazine or on wonderstrange. Meanwhile, you can make Frida for your favorite artist, or your very own art table, where she will guard your supplies and inspire your creativity.
