Frida Kahlo Toilet Roll Cover
A crochet pattern of the iconic Frida Kahlo recreated as a toilet roll cover. She would enhance any bathroom!
I have designed this pattern to be manageable at beginner-intermediate level. To complete it you will need to be able to make a magic ring, chain, single crochet, increase, decrease and have basic sewing
skills. The pattern contains full step-by-step instructions, tips and photographs as a guide.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
1. Double knit wool in black, white, turquoise, yellow,
orange, red, green and skin colour;
- Embroidery thread in red and black;
- 4mm crochet hook
- Wool/tapestry sewing needle
- A little toy stuffing
- 2 x 8mm black safety eyes
- Some card cut into a 10cm circle and 4cm circle (or a plastic milk bottle lid works well)
- 2 x jewellery jump rings (optional)
- A toilet roll!!
ABBREVIATONS (I always use US):
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
INC = increasing row
DEC = decreasing row
2sc = increase by making 2 single crochet into one stitch
Sc2tog = decrease by making a single crochet across 2 stitches
(##) = stitch count at end of row
I hope you enjoy making this project, but if you have any questions please contact me and I will do my
best to help.
