Frida Throw
Frida Throw was a team project ~
Inspired by my friend Gina Ross from Natural Yarns. Gina gave me idea to design throw that will look like stained glass. Carle Dehning from Nurturing Fibres provided me with beautiful and rich in colors Eco bamboo.
When I started playing with yarn and stitches, I was not sure about colors, shapes and how to put it all together. So I was putting it away to give it more time to let idea come to me naturally… its very important to love what I make and be excited about it. After few samples and unraveling… I got it! Colors and hexagons came together… and I love process of making it!
Size of my Frida throw about 120cm x 120cm, but you can make it as big or small as you like it. It’s a written pattern with a diagram and few pictures. I used American Standard Abbreviations and my diagram is color coded.
I hope you will enjoy making it and if you have any problems with reading/understanding pattern/diagrams please send me an email yuliya@yuli.co.za or message me on my FB page (I am more active there;)) Yuli Handmade
Enjoy!
Love, Yuli
