This party hat is knitted on thick needles and felted in the washing machine afterwards. You can use your scrap yarn – I would recommend using natural fibers.
The hat is knitted in the round from the brim to the top, using either double-pointed needles at the end or the magic loop technique.
Also, play around with different colours and just work around with what you have in your scrap yarn basket.
After you’ve felted your hat, you can embroider on it if you’d like and you’re ready to party!

Materials needed:

• scrap yarn
• needles size 9 mm (US size 13) (40 cm and 80 cm when using he magic loop technique) OR 4 DPN size 9 mm (US size 13)
• embroidery needle and scrap yarn to embroider (optional)
• a pompom (optional)
