Friday Night Cardigan
Friday Night Cardigan is a saddle-shoulder cardigan with no seaming. Sleeves are picked up from the saddle shoulders and knit to the cuffs; neckband, placket and button bands are picked up. This is a basic cardigan suitable for men or women. Dress it up with fancy buttons or fancy variegated yarns!
Finished Size:
Chest 32(36, 40, 44, 48, 52) inches, sleeve circumference 13(13.5, 14, 14.5, 15, 15.5) inches, length 13(13.5, 14.5, 15, 15.5, 16) inches from underarm to hem.
Yarn: Friday Night Fibers Fingering Weight (80% Superwash extra fine merino wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 382 yards/100g) 4(4, 4, 5, 7, 8) skeins or approximately 1000(1000, 1200, 1350, 1500, 1650) yards. Sample worked in Blackbeard (main) and Champagne (contrast). If two colors are chosen as in sample, purchase 2(2, 2, 3, 4, 5) skeins main color and 1(1, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins contrast color. Your yarn requirements will vary based on torso and sleeve length.
Needles:
US #3/3.25 mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle).
Set of US #3/3.25 mm double pointed needles or preferred method for small circumference knitting in the round.

Gauge: 24 stitches/32 rows per 4” in wet blocked stockinette stitch.
