This scarf is knitted flat, with a simple but effective ruffle and reversible cable edging.
Instructions are included for using either laceweight or fingering weight yarn.
Sizes:
Fingering scarf: 46.5” / 118 cm long and 9” / 23 cm wide
Lace scarf: 69” / 175 cm long and 8.5” / 22 cm wide
Materials:
450 yds / 411 m of fingering, US size 7 / 4.5 mm straight or circular needles
OR
800 yds / 732 m of lace weight, US size 5, 3.75 mm straight or circular needles
Gauge:
Fingering: 22 sts x 23 rows per 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking
Lace: 29 sts x 40 rows per 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking
Exact gauge is not critical but will affect the size of the finished scarf and the amount of yarn needed.
