Sometimes, a sunny-side-up egg is all I need to brighten up my day. If you also love fried eggs, this pattern would be perfect for you!

The coaster is worked in the rounds and the use of magic loop is optional as I also included a tip on how to get started without the magic loop. The color change is pretty minimal and straightforward in this pattern, hence I have rated it as easy.

For the coasters in the photos, I used 100% cotton yarn from Sugar’n Cream. Each skein is 2.5oz and can make many coasters. I recommend using cotton yarn for coasters as they are more absorbent and heat resistant than synthetic fibers or animal fibers and they provide better structure. They are also machine washable so they are easier to clean and maintain if they get stained from your beverage.

The coaster should measure around 4.25 inches in diameter, suitable for most mugs, cups, cans, and bottles.
