Colorful Frieda, with beautiful sparkling flowers in her hair, is inspired by the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Her special and cheerful appearance is reflected in the amigurumi and the pillow, both are included in the pattern. Hopefully this Frieda will bring you joy and happiness!

This is a DOWNLOADABLE CROCHET PATTERN, which you can download immediately after payment.
My instructions are easy to understand. This pattern contains 16 pages: the description for the amigurumi and a chart plus a written pattern for the pillow (Mochila technique). There are also 27 clear photos to help you along.
Size: The finished size of amigurumi Frieda will be approximately 33 cm (13 inch) in standing position by using the materials as named below. The pillow Frieda will be approximately 45 x 45 cm (17.7 x 17.7 inch) by using the materials as named below.

Difficulty level: Intermediate

Materials amigurumi Frieda:
Catania dark brown, 2 balls of yarn (total of 100 gram).
Catania light brown, 1 ball of yarn (50 gram).
Sparkle yarn blue for the clothes (suitable for Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm), 1 ball of yarn (25 gram, 62 m).
Small amount of sparkle yarn turquoise, silver, pink, red, coral, green, purple (suitable for Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm).
Fiberfill stuffing.
Crochet hook size C (2.5 mm) for the amigurumi.
Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm) for the clothes.
Tapestry needle.
1 pair safety eyes 8 mm.
Small amount of white felt for behind the eyes.
Sewing yarn for attaching the flowers.
Optional: 1 or 2 pipe cleaners for the tail (for small children prefer to omit and fill with fiberfill stuffing).

Materials pillow Frieda (use yarn suitable for crochet hook size H (5 mm):
Light blue, 5 balls of yarn, each 50 gram/66 m.
White, 3 balls of yarn, each 50 gram/66 m.
Light brown, 1 ball of yarn a 50 gram/66 m.
Dark brown, 1 ball of yarn a 50 gram/66 m.
Black, 1 ball of yarn a 50 gram/66 m.
Sparkle yarn blue, 1 ball of yarn a 25 gram/62 m. (suitable for Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm).
Small amount of sparkle yarn turquoise, silver, pink, red, coral, green, purple (suitable for Crochet hook size E (3.5 mm).
Crochet hook size H (5 mm).
Tapestry needle.
Inner cushion 45x45 cm (17.7x17.7 inch).

About this pattern:
The amigurumi is worked in continuous rounds. If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this amigurumi you can just use thicker or thinner yarn and crochet hook. Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so your stuffing won’t show through the stitches.
The pillow is made with the Mochila technique, a short explanation is described in the pattern.

Sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
Dec = decrease (work 2 stitches together)
Inc = increase (2 stitches in same stitch)
