Friendly Bat Amigurumi Toy
Looks like these 2 friendly bats are going out for a bite tonight!
This PDF crochet pattern (US terminology) will guide you to crochet an adorable bat as shown in pictures, made using 8 ply / DK soft acrylic yarn and crochet hook E (3.5 mm).
Finished size will be approx. 7.6” (19,5 cm) tall. If you wish to make a larger or smaller version of this bat, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn with a matching size crochet hook.
If so, you will need different amounts of yarn and different size safety eyes than stated in the materials list.
This pattern is also suitable for wool or cotton yarn. Stylecraft Special DK was used to create the bats in the pictures.
Gauge: not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Skill level: intermediate
Materials used:
- crochet hook size E (3.5 mm)
- yarn in sand color (approx. 30 gr, 98 yds, 90 m), copper (approx. 20 gr, 65 yds, 60 m), dark brown (approx. 10 gr, 33 yds, 30 m), small amounts of soft pink and white
