The pattern has charts for the entire English alphabet, all letters from A - Z are charted. There is a single chart for all the letters shown in the pattern-repeat.
Use one single letter, or them all, write nice things, names, signatures - show your love and write a friendly letter.

THE COWL

The cowl is worked bottom-up and in the round.
The circumference of the sample measures 46 cm/18”. The height of the sample measures 21 cm/8.25”. The sample size gives you a tight-fitting cowl that doesn’t let cold air down your neck.
By adding pattern-repeats and/or changing gauge the cowl may easily be modified to other sizes.

Materials:
Yarn: ”Sayama” from Pascuali. This yarn of DK weight comes in skeins of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 112 m/122yds. For the sample size you will need 112m/122yds of MC, colour 307 (beige) and 50 m/60 yds of CC, colour 312 (black).
Needles: a circular needle 40 cm/16”, size 4 mm/US6 (or size to obtain gauge).

THE HAT

The hat is worked bottom-up and in the round.
The circumference of the sample measures 46 cm/18”. The height of the sample, from the folding line of the ribbed brim until the top of the crown measures 23 cm/9”. The sample size is a S/M womens size.
If you want a wider circumference you work at a looser gauge. You may work a double brim as in the sample, or a single brim.

Materials
Yarn: ”Sayama” from Pascuali. This yarn of DK weight comes in skeins of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 112 m/122yds.
For the sample size you will need 150 m/165 yds of MC, colour 312 (black) and 55 m/60 yds of CC, colour 307 (black).
Needles: a circular needle 40 cm/16”, size 3.5 mm/US6 to work the brim. a circular needle 40 cm/16”, size 4 mm/US6 (or size to obtain gauge) to work the colour-work.

Gauge
For both the cown and hat the gauge is 24 sts/30 rounds in colour-work = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.
