I enjoy creating designs that look more complicated than they actually are!
The shawl has a very easy 8 edge top-down construction and is suitable for adventurous beginners, the most of concentration is needed mainly until the wedges are visible. I trust that experienced knitters will find this a very relaxing pattern.
The secret is in achieving a very loose tension. Please feel free to change the size of the needle in order to achieve this.
I like the look of gradient or faded yarn but have a look in your stash and put some colours together if you wish!
Don’t forget the magic happens while blocking so please use yarns that will block well!

Materials Needed:

Gradient or faded 4ply yarn approx. 500m+ Lace weight mohair approx. 500m
For the Friendly dragon sample I used Hollyberry merino/nylon 100g (approx.400m) + 100m of Sockmatician 4ply (90% merino/10% possum in Featherstone) double stranded with Aurora Mohair in Activated charcoal, Winter Blue, Whimsical pistachio and Misty Mint Cocktail- total approx. 500m

Please note that these yarns are worked together, double stranded, so you’ll need approx 500m of each (more or less if you decided to change the size)

Friendly Dragon has got a Posh Sister – Posh Dragon (Malabrigo -light DK)

4 hanks of Malabrigo Silky Merino 51% Silk, 49% Merino, approx. 130m (150yds) / 50g – Colour used London Sky, approx. 175g approx. 480m, 32 beads

• Size 6mm (UK4, US10 ) or 7 mm needle (UK2) or even bigger if your tension is firm
• Stitch markers: 10 (one different)
• Tapestry Needle to weave in ends
• Scissors 

• 32 beads (to fit through your yarn for the Posh version)
• Blocking pins
• Beadle needle or fine crochet hook to place beads (for the Posh version)
• Crochet hook 5mm/6mm – for the bind off chains

Size is completely adjustable, make it bigger or smaller as per your preference or yardage
