Panel designed specially as part of the 2021 ‘Friends Around The World’ Mosaic Crochet CAL run by Facebook group CAL - Crochet A Long.

You could repeat the 26 rows to make a blanket just using this design (a great stash buster if you changed colour A for each repeat)…

… and it would also look great as a scarf (suggested starting stitch count 243 sts, to make a scarf around 1.5m long), or coaster / mug rug (starting stitch count 27 sts)

The pattern is made using Inset mosaic crochet, which involves changing yarn colour every 2 rows. The unused colour is carried up the side of the work, hence minimising the number of ends needing to be woven in.
If you are new to this technique, don’t worry, full written instructions are given, and I have also provided a chart and lots of helpful photos.
