I designed this Friendship hat for a Design Challenge in a group on Facebook. The theme for the design was friendship. For myself I wanted to show the friendship found since I became a knitter and over the internet. I wanted it to show the friendship brought about by people from all walks of life coming together despite differences and distances, so I chose to have each person be a different color. You could easily do this pattern in two colors, or any amount of colors you would like.

I designed this hat using worsted weight, mostly Red Heart, yarn since that is what I had in my stash. Yardage will vary based on how many colors you choose to use. I would like to remake it using a smaller yarn, will update the pattern with notes when I do. If any of you test it and change the specs let me know and I will add them in to help others who are interested in making a Friendship Hat. :)

Thanks to my friend Ellen of Knitti Politi for testing the hat and letting me know I had forgotten to put the gauge in the pattern and that my chart needed a slight bit of editing. Update is now available :) Happy knitting!
