Friendship Shawl
This design was a free pattern in return for a donation to Shelterbox, click here to donate.
Pretty shawl with lace border knitted in two halves and grafted together. The lace border is easy to knit and is knitted at the same time as the main body which is garter stitch.
Needed:
200gr of any 4ply yarn
4mm needles
stitch marker
blunt sewing needle
Easy to substitute yarn. Use a needle size that suits your yarn and knit up half your available yarn for the first half and use the rest for the second half.
Pattern was made available free in return for a donation to Shelterbox. Shelterbox is a charity based in Cornwall, UK, which responds instantly to natural and man-made disasters worldwide by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless.
Each box costs £490 and my aim is to raise enough money for at least one box. But hopefully we’ll raise money for several boxes. Suggested donation minimum £3 as that’s what I normally charge for my patterns.
