DESCRIPTION: Frigg, meaning “beloved” in Old Norse, was the queen of the Æsir and Goddess of spinning and weaving. She was a seer and practitioner of seiðr, a form of Norse magic, in which she discerned the course of fate by weaving new events into being.

Frigg is a knit take on the classic floral crown. Super textured and super quick to knit up, Frigg is perfect for stash busting all of your most special yarns.

MATERIALS: Any DK weight yarn that meets gauge. Use linen for a lightweight summer headband or alpaca for a decadent winter headband! I used Juniper Moon Farm’s Zooey DK in Color 17.

YARDAGE: 30 g/75 yds (70 m) of DK weight yarn

NEEDLES: Size 5 (3.75 mm) - circular or straight will work

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Width: 3 in/ 7.5 cm Length: 49 in/ 125 cm

NOTIONS: stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends
