Frija Pullover
Frija is a simple pullover with a relaxed fit and decorative edges in twisted rib.
The pullover is knit from the bottom up with a hybrid sleeve that is part raglan, part set-in. This construction gives the look of a set-in sleeve, but without all the bulky underarm fabric.
Frija is another name for the Norse goddess Frigg, who was goddess of marriage and domestic things such as childbirth, spinning and weaving. Knitting would clearly be her department, too.
The pullover comes in 7 sizes, women’s XS (S - M - L - XL - 2X - 3X) with a finished chest measurement of 86 (96 - 106 - 116 - 127 - 137 - 147) cm / 34 (37 3⁄4 - 41 3⁄4 - 45 3⁄4 - 50 - 54 - 57 3⁄4) inches. Pullover is intended to be worn with 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) of positive ease in the chest measurement.
Designed to be knit in one thread of silk merino and one thread of linen, the pullover can be made from any two lace to fingering weight yarns that can be held together to give a drapey fabric with the correct gauge.
Alternatively, a DK weight to light worsted yarn that gives correct gauge can be substituted. In that case, you will need approx. 850 (950 - 1050 - 1150 - 1300 - 1400 - 1500) m / 930 (1040 - 1150 - 1260 - 1420 - 1530 - 1640) yards.
