How adorable is this baby cocoon? It’s spacious to give baby enough room to kick around without feeling restrained. It has a ribbed feature and ruffled frill. This would make a fantastic photo prop for baby’s special photo shoot. This cocoon is so easy and quick to make, you’ll finish it in no time!

PLEASE note that the intended use of the baby cocoon is as a PHOTO PROP ONLY. Due to safety concerns, the cocoon is not meant for a baby to sleep in to replace a baby blanket etc. Babies must be closely monitored whilst in a cocoon. Never leave babies unattended in a cocoon and do not cover their faces with it and do not leave a baby in the sack for prolonged periods in case the baby gets too warm. Please observe the safety precautions regarding baby cocoons stipulated in your respective countries including attaching a fire safety label if required. Thank you.

This pattern is very easy to follow, but a good knowledge of crochet stitches is required. It is written using American stitch instructions, therefore you will need to adjust them for the UK or European stitches. However, once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to follow. I have given the European equivalent at the start.

• 100g of any Double-knit/DK/8-ply yarn…the softer the better.
• crochet hook size 4.5 mm
