Frimas Cowl
“Frimas” is a cosy cowl worked flat in two colors, embroidered, and buttoned.
The icy look of it is obtained by using a very light yarn containing mohair in two colors recalling the frosts of wintertime.
Seven embroidered snowflakes and seven little silver vintage buttons add a timeless style to this warm and cosy cowl.
“Frimas” is worked flat and sideways using a combination of basic stitches that create a lovely woven texture.
No buttonholes are needed : the crocheted stitch allows the cowl to be buttoned without them.
This allows you to button it in different ways (as shown on the pics).
Skills required :
- crocheting basic stitches (chain, single crochet) ;
- sewing buttons ;
- embroidering using schematics, with a tapestry needle (the schematics are very simple).
The pattern is written in US crochet terms.
