Frog Kikker | #40 Frosch Kikker
English & Dutch available in Ravelry download. German version is available on the linked website or in the magazine.
This is Kikker. Kikker is a frog. Actually, Kikker is the Dutch word for frog. As the origin of this frog is Dutch, he thinks his name should be Kikker, regardless of the country he lives in. Like my other designs, Kikker is knitted circularly and seamlessly in one piece. You may use a circular needle, or 4 double pointed needles. When you are finished knitting, you can stuff the frog without having to seam many small pieces together.
The pattern also features shorts for the frog.
A frog knitted from laceweight yarn on needles 0, will be about 3,5 inches (sitting)
A frog knitted from DK yarn on needles 2.5, will be about 8 inches high (sitting)
The frog will scale using really heavy yarns.
Always use slightly thinner needles than indicated, so that the knitting will be firm, and the stuffing will not show through the skin.
