Frog Plush with Lily Pad
Nothing says Spring like frogs!
Worsted weight or Bernat Blanket yarn, these plump babies turn out adorably every time I make them and I’m obsessed! After making 100 frogs or so, I decided to set out on a journey to eradicate some of my safety eye usage, and I’m super happy with how these froggie yarn eyes turned out. And, BONUS, if you double up some cotton and use a 5mm hook, his precious little lily pad makes perfect coasters!
This is by far the most beginner-friendly amigurumi pattern that I’ve published so far, the only stitch that isn’t absolutely basic is the crab/reverse SC border around the lily pad which can easily be replaced with a simple SC border if needed.
When using worsted weight yarn and a 4mm hook he comes out to just under 5 inches tall, with Bernat Blanket yarn he worked up to about ten inches tall.
Pattern is written using US terminology, if you get stuck at any point or have any questions please feel free to reach out!
