Frog Wobblers
These cute and quirky frogs are knit in the round, then felted in a washing machine or a dryer. They are weighted so that you when you push them down, they wobble right back up (see the last photo for one in action!). Complete instructions are provided for knitting, installing the internal weight and felting. Fun for kids and adults!
Materials Required:
Needles: Size US 10.5 circular needles, Size US 10.5 double pointed needles (or size to meet gauge) to work with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn in the round
Size US 6 double pointed needles to work with 1 strand of worsted weight yarn
Size US 3 double pointed needles to work with 1 strand of fingering weight yarn
Yarn:1 Skein Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted; Color: Peapod; Yardage: Large-75 yards, Small-40 yards; 1 Skein Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted or feltable scrap yarn; Color: White; Yardage: 5 yards
Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, fiberfill, embroidery needle, black embroidery thread, washers (see information on Internal Weight)
Internal Weight:
Large Wobbler: 1.5 inch diameter steel washers, weighing a total of 4 oz. Weigh washers to make sure you have the correct weight.
Small Wobbler: 1.5 inch diameter steel washers, weighing a total 3 oz
