the pattern starts with the belly, then, the head is built in, knitted in the round, and the legs are built in and knitted in the round as well.
The longest step is the back where over 150 stitches are picked around the belly, over the head and the legs. After adjustment, the back is knitted in a perfect triangle, decreasing stitches at each needle start, until reaching the centre with 5-6 stitches left.
Two strings of French knitting are used. One for the arms, and another one for joining the two eyes passing under the chin.
Warning: I would need 10 to 20 hours to make this creature. If you are a total beginner or in a rush to make a soft toy, maybe save my pattern for later!

Ce modèle est entièrement sans coutures.
Il se commence par le ventre, la tête lui est raccordée, tricotée en rond, ainsi que les jambes.
L’étape la plus longue est le dos où plus de 150 mailles sont relevées tout autour du ventre, sur la tête et les jambes. Après l’équilibrage du nombre de mailles sur chacune des trois aiguilles, il ne reste plus qu’à tricoter en rond, en diminuant régulièrement jusqu’à atteindre le centre avec 5-6 mailles.
Deux cordons de tricotin sont utilisés, l’un pour les bras, l’autre pour joindre les deux yeux en passant sous le menton.
Avertissement: La confection de cette peluche me prend de 10 à 20 heures. Si vous débutez dans le tricot, ou que vous n’avez pas trop de temps à y consacrer, je vous conseillerais de remettre ce projet à plus tard.
