A beanie in three sizes featuring a grass pattern with frogs jumping through. The beanie is knitted in the round, and the frogs are knitted separately and sewn onto the hat. Instructions are given for a small and large frog. Make as many of either size as you want for your beanie. The small frog is a good fit for the 18” beanie.

The band, and frogs are knitted with fingering weight yarn and the hat top is knitted with DK weight yarn or sock/fingering held double. You may use any yarn, but the yarn used in the hat pictured (size 21”) is
MC: (main color) 52g Knit Picks Chroma fingering ‘New Leaf’ 396 yds/100g, held double. 70% wool, 30% nylon.
CC: (contrast color for band and frogs) Poem’s sock yarn, 459 yds/100g, 75% wool, 25% nylon
4 g for the band, 6 g for the large frog, 5g for the small frog.

This is an intermediate level pattern, although the frogs may have some techniques that you have not done before. There is a photo tutorial included for those steps.
