“This hat is knitted from the top to the bottom. The pattern is for a very simple version of the hat, which is relatively close fitting and ends with a rolled cuff. Use this pattern as a jumping off point for your own hat creations! Space the increases out over a few rows for a longer point. You can also try to do less increases per row for a slightly different effect. “
