’Fromage’ is the French word for cheese. The triangular shapes in this beret remind one of pieces of French cream cheese, which Moroccans love to eat. North African crafters would recognize this design as ‘the fromage shape.’ I learned this design and turned it into something wearable with a pretty lace edging. This is both stylish and unique- you can reverse it to show a shape which looks a little like a starfish. It would make a great gift for yourself or a loved one.
