There are two versions of this pattern in the book, for a 2-ply or 1-ply version of the yarn. The 2-ply version is knit on Size 10 needles and a Size E hook and uses 5 skeins of Rapunzel, each 322 yds. The 1-ply version uses 3 skeins, each 437 yds.

The shawl is knit back and forth on a circular needle, and produces a circular shawl. The shawl is made up of 9 lace-diamond wedge-shaped sections, separated by 10 frost-flower panels.
