The Frosty Morning Beanie is knit using 2x2 ribbing, in the round, beginning at the brim and finishing with decreases to form the top. It can be completed with, or without pom pom, and knitted to any desired length.

It is a simple pattern, perfect for beginners, and it a staple wardrobe piece for those colder months.

To Fit Head Circumference (cm): 53-61

To Fit Head Circumference (in): 21-24

Finished Garment Length: 30 cm (12 in)

Finished Garment Width: 18 cm (7 in)

Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10x10cm (4x4in) in 2x2 Ribbing using 5mm (US 8) needles, blocked.

Recommended Yarn: Aran weight wool (or similar fibre).

Notions: 5mm (US 8) circular needles (with 40 cm cable), BOR Marker, Measuring Tape, Embroidery Needle, Scissors

Difficulty: Beginner Friendly

Techniques: Long tail cast on, 2x2 ribbing in the round, K.2tog, SSK.

Construction: Knitted bottom up in the round in 2x2 ribbing pattern to length. Decreases are worked at the top in pattern, and yarn thread through remaining stitches in order to close top.
Pop pom can be added for decoration at end.
