Frosty Mornings Cowl
With the falling of the leaves, comes our winter season, cool and brisk and perfect for knitted wear. When I was in University, I would spend many mornings walking to and standing at the city bus stop, enduring
the cold Hamilton winds, as they rushed down the escarpment. Even with my jacket zipped to the top, the cold air would always sneak in, chilling me to the bone. I always found mornings the most difficult,
even compared to the night, as crawling out of my warm bed and into the arms of the frosty morning air was a difficult challenge. To brace the cold, cowls became my go-to accessory, affording me the comfort
of nice, warm yarn, encompassing my neck and keeping the cold air out, and something to enjoy and look forward to wearing on a cold winters morn. Inspired by these early years in life, and designed to highlight the best elements of the luxurious, soft, woolfolk yarn, beautiful stitch definition and stunning colour, this cowl reminds me to embrace each day with open arms, no matter how far down the thermometer reads.
