Frozen Skies
Check my designer page for promotions and freebies in my store.
Frozen Skies is an asymmetrical triangular shawl in elongated and slightly curved shape. It is worked on the bias sideways. The overall shape and stepped edge is achieved by working the simultaneous decreases at one side of the knitted fabric and a set of knitted cast-on stitches at the other side gradually reducing the number of stitches to form a triangle. The stripes of various width and stitch patterns are made in two alternating colours and, if desired, in yarns of different composition and thickness for a dramatic result. There is no yarn cutting when changing colours; both yarn strands are incorporated into a decorative and firm edging.
This is your chance for experimenting with different yarn bases to create something unique each time you decide on this project. The shawl can also be knit at a different gauge depending on what effect you would like to achieve.
