Developed as a tutorial on cables, working on circular needles, and on dpn’s, the hat features a fairly easy to follow instruction set geared for beginners. There is a link to tutorial support on Ravelry. Our group did this as a ‘KAL’ beginner project, following learning simple cables on a scarf, and wanted to learn circular needle and dpn’s knitting. It was intended to be a CUSTOM pattern, and you can customize it by changing needle size or yarn used to achieve a different gauge for each size.
