This pattern is published in 52 Weeks of Shawls by Laine Publishing.

Fru Alstad is a classic triangular shawl, worked from the back neck down. It starts off with a double moss section, then goes on to various sections of different stitch patterns and ends with stars. With this shawl, named after the village she was born in, Anna Strandberg wanted to go back to her roots and create a piece with textures from Skåne, the southernmost part of Sweden. In Skåne there is a long tradition of “Spede” sweaters (also called night sweaters) that are knitted in thin white yarn, with small needles.
