When I asked my friend Caroline what she would like her shawl to look like if I ever designed one and named it after her she said: lace!

“That will never happen!” is what I thought about that but things change and I found myself in a situation where I had some extra time and I decided to use that time to learn how to design and chart knitted lace.

I chose to make a circle because that way you don’t need to do purl rows. It was also the best way to make the shawl look like a star after her surname Stjerna that means star. So the name of the shawl in English would be “Mrs Stjerna”.

The shawl is made with 100g of lace yarn and with needles 3 or 3,5 mm. The pattern contains both a text version and a diagram.
