This 32 pages pattern contains detailed explanations in English that allow you to make this fruit bat / flying fox by using the crochet technique. There are pictures to guide you, and videos for the most complicated parts. The pattern requires sewing parts together, but it is not approximate : you always have to sew by following a line / row.

Level of difficulty : advanced.

Stitches used (US terminology) : single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, triple crochet, chain, slip stitch.

Materials needed :

• 3 mm hook
• Yarn needle
• 6 mm safety eyes
• Stitch marker
• Scissors
• Stuffing
• Brown yarn : light
• Orange yarn : light
• Black yarn : light
• Optional : safety nose

Size :

Using light weight yarn and a 3 mm hook : the bat is 7.4 inches / 19 cm tall from its ear to its feet, and 11 inches / 29 cm wide from one tip of a wing to another.
The size of the bat and of the safety eyes you will need can vary according to the thickness of the yarn you use and the size of your hook.
