Fruity Barrel Cactus
If you love cacti, making squishy miniatures, and using up odds and ends of yarn, this pattern is for you. It uses both knitting and crochet techniques. Knitting makes sense for the green cactus body, since the real cactus looks ribbed. Crochet bobbles are a quick and easy topping, like icing on a cake.
FREE for the rest of 2019! Buy now, and you’ll pay zilch, nada, $0. Woo hoo!
Yarn requirements: worsted weight acrylic or wool for the body, DK/sport weight yellow for fruit, any splitty brown yarn for the former-flower sprigs. Mainly, you want a thinner yarn for the fruit bobbles than the green cactus.
Many thanks to my dear friend Brenda for testing the pattern. You’re the best!
