Fryslân Boppe - Friesland at the Top
Overlay Mosaic crochet pattern using using US-crochet-terms. For right- and left-handed crocheters
After being born and raised in Schiedam, in the industry region of the Netherlands, we moved to the spacious and rural Friesland in 2018. Here we are surrounded by several water areas. These are in full use in the summer for boating and swimming. In winter, the vast lakes and ditches are great for ice-skating. Although the Eleven-Cities-Tour has been some time ago. All this gave me the idea to make a crochet pattern with this theme.
The pattern can be used for making a placemat (with 100% cotton because it can then be washed at 60 degrees) or, for example, for a lap blanket using warm, thicker yarn. Of course you can also use the pattern for making other items.
Included u will find the mosaic description for both right- and left-handed crochet enthusiasts. The diagram can be used by both.
Extra Frisian Bag Pattern
Because this is my first pattern with the mosaic technique, you will receive an extra pattern for free: Frisian Bag. This is added to the pattern.
If you are a beginner in mosaic crochet, first look at the included mosaic technique document. Here you will find the different steps explained in text and images.
Size placemat: 45 x 30 cm. Yarn Cotton 100%, needle size 3,5 mm.
Blanket: 95 X 54 cm. Mixed Yarn - needle size 9 mm. I used Rellana Pronto: 75% polyacrylic, 25% virgin wool
Bag: 26 x 40 cm. - Yarn cotton -needle size 3,5
A separated technique document with step by step description of mosaic technique and images is added.
My thanks go to Miranda Benningshof - she tested the pattern.
