This illusion knitting scarf looks like innocuous stripes from the front, but says FUCK TRUMP when viewed from an angle. Also included are charts for several smaller, optional motifs which could be included at the ends or middle of the scarf: an asterisk, a cute heart, and a Twitter bird and speech bubble.

The scarf is fully charted, but rows 1-64 are also written out to help you ease into the charts if necessary. Illusion knitting can be mildly confusing at first, but is very straightforward once you grasp how it’s constructed. If you can knit and purl, cast on and bind off you can knit this scarf. Gauge is not critical and the scarf can be knit in any yarn, but the pattern is written for worsted.

In the true spirit of the Trump administration, this has not been test knit. Sad!
