Nicole Frost from Frost Yarn and I decided to come together and make a statement. A loud one about how we and many other knitters feel about racist bullshit. That statement: FUCK THAT. The border wall is a racist crutch being used by a weak man to manipulate people and we think that’s wrong. So here’s what we’re doing:

It’s time and past for white people to mind our Beckys--to call out the people we know (and the ones we don’t) when they do and say racist shit. It’s time and past for us to get uncomfortable, to face our privilege, to leverage it in support of BIPOC. When we fuck up (and we will), it’s also time and past for us to shut up and listen.

Knit this hat. Knit one for each chart. Wear them to marches and protests and during your everyday tasks and errands. Wear your heart on your sleeve and the fire of your beliefs on your head.

This pattern is free but we’re encouraging donations to RAICES. Put the name of a BIPOC you admire or someone you love in the Honoree space, and forward your donation confirmation email to igcraftivists@gmail.com. I’ll update the description here with the total donations collected.
