weight yarn makes it relatively quick and
easy.

The circumference or height of this hat can be easily adjusted by adding/subtracting multiples of 8 in the cast-on or altering the number of rows between the chart and decrease rounds.

This is a good project for a first venture into stranded knitting or colorwork.
