After receiving a few requests, I’ve updated the Tunisian C2C Entreloc Baby Blanket to…….
……drum roll please……..
…………Tunisian C2C Entrelac Lapghan!!
This larger size uses 10 skeins of Sirdar No 1, and provides the same thick, padded feeling as the baby blanket version! It’s warm, it’s aesthetically pleasing (and dare I say desirable, as everyone who’s seen it likes to feel it and comment on it?), and it’s a perfect piece for any yarn enthusiast looking for a fun, new, yet classic lapghan piece!
Finished Size:
● 35” x 48”
○ Gauge swatch size in Tss:
■ 2” x 2” = 10 st x 8 rows
Materials Required:
● 6.0 mm Tunisian (afghan) crochet hook, 11” long cable with stopper
● Sirdar No1 Aran Stonewashed – 50% Acrylic, 50% Nylon/100g/ 197yds, 180m
■ 3 Skeins - Yarn A
■ 3 Skeins - Yarn B
■ 4 Skeins - Yarn C
● Stitch Markers
● Yarn Needle
● Scissors
Notes:
● For the cover page blanket, I used the following yarns for the colors:
○ 3 Skeins; Yarn A = Chalk Paint 807 (gray)
○ 3 Skeins; Yarn B = Bleached Citrus 805 (yellow)
○ 4 Skeins; Yarn C = Washed Denim 806 (navy)
● For the example blanket in the tutorial, I used the following yarns for the colors:
○ 3 Skeins; Yarn A = Chalk Paint 807 (gray)
○ 3 Skeins; Yarn B = Sea Wash 800 (green)
○ 4 Skeins; Yarn C = Washed Denim 806 (navy)
● The first part of this document is a tutorial while working the pattern. It is made for those who are not familiar with the Tunisian C2C entrelac style can learn as they go.
● If you’re interested in only the pattern and not the tutorial, a picture layout is available on page 3.
● In the tutorial, the picture examples are made with the Tunisian C2C Entrelac Baby Blanket squares; regardless of which blanket used, the technique is the same. Please read the pattern for the correct number of stitches.
