Fully Completely Crazy
This triangular shawl evolved from an example in Sequence Knitting by Cecelia Campochiaro. The shawl is worked the point up and has a seed stitch edging and top border to frame the texture of the sequence.
For my shawl I used two skeins of 4ply fingering weight merino by Old Maiden Aunt in the colourways Crazy Ivan and Fully Completely – hence the name of the shawl. Both my skeins were variegated colourways, with complementary colours and also some overlap of colours. I alternated the yarns every two rows and the colours pooled as they fell. As every row in a triangle is a different length, there is no danger of the colours pooling in a regular fashion.
My shawl is approximately 60cm 24in deep, with a span of 170cm 67in, however it may be made to whatever size you desire.
Requirements:
Needles and yarn can be whatever you prefer to knit a fairly close fabric. I used:
2.25mm US 1 needles
2 x 100g 400 yd 365m skeins of 4ply fingering weight merino yarn
2 Stitch markers.
Wool needle to darn in ends
