Fulstow
Fulstow is a fun, playful take on the traditional grandad cardigan. And, with its garter stripes, i-cord edging, and mosaic colourwork, this little project is just as fun to knit as it is to wear!
You’ll work from the top down, using twisted yarn overs to create the raglan shape, before placing sleeve stitches on waste yarn and continuing down the body. The zigzag feature is created using mosaic knitting and provides a pleasant little departure from the mindless stockinette. That is not to say the zigzag is difficult in the slightest - you’ll only be working with one strand at a time and simply slipping certain stitches along the way to form the pattern. Once the body is finished, it’s time to finish off those sleeves before, finally, picking up stitches around the neck and shaping the collar using simple German short rows.
