Fun Felted Saddlebag
The saddle-bag is made in one piece from the CO to the flap, steeked over the body part while the flap is a slip-stitch pattern knit flat. Strap is a slip-stitch pattern knit onto the sides and then 3nbo to the other side. A smaller accessories bag is also felted -- thick enough to attached cable needles, other knitting accessories -- in the cc color.
You will need 3 yarns for this design: 400 yards of MC, 250 of CC1, and 100 yards of CC2 to complete. The sample used KP’s Wool of the Andes Bulky
Ability to read charts is a plus for this design. Color-work and slip stitch patterns are charted and written.
This is a great project to practice steeking and colorwork and to learn slip-stitch … if you’ve never done it before!
