I used 2 strands of yarn held together to make these flowers. The multi (variegated) yarn combined with the solid color is what gives it a unique appearance! In the pattern photo Redheart Super Saver Blacklight was combined with solid colors. This is a beginner pattern! It is great for using up scrap yarn, and you only need 6 1/2 yards for each strand of yarn. If you are using the flowers in a vase, you would need a stem that would better support the flowers. A painted wooden dowel hot glued to the flower is an option. Check out my companion pattern, Snow Flowers, which can be found in my designs section.
