This is a pattern for thigh high socks. They work up pretty quickly and the pattern allows for a better fit and more security. I made this pattern for sizes 7/8, 8/9, 9/10 but it can easily be worked for smaller or larger sizes depending on the size of your foot. When working the foot portion just be sure to measure your foot from the Toe to the start of your ankle so that you have the correct number of rounds needed for a perfect fit before continuing on the heel portion. I used 1.5 skeins of yarn and a 5mm H hook to complete this project. The stitches were just the right size and the socks are still light weight. They can be worn with shoes and will still feel soft and comfortable.
