Description
Fungus Sweater Collar is a feminine drop shoulder sweater with a wide ribbed collar, you will fold down wearing the sweater. The sweater has a beautiful Moss stitch pattern doubled in height. The sweater is a top-down knit, and you will start out this sweater by knitting the ribbed collar. When knitting the yoke, you will increase stitches on each side of three shoulder stitches in each side. The yoke is knitted back and forth while doing German short rows to shape the collar. After this, you will knit in the round until the yoke has its intended wide and you will stop doing increases. The front and back pieces are then knitted separately back and forth until the whole of the sleeves has the correct length, and you will gather your work and then again knit in the round. The sweater is knitted top down, making it easy to adjust the length of the body. The sweater is constructed so that the shoulder stitches should appear on the back piece and not on top of the shoulder – this gives an elegant fit. I recommend sizing down.

Finished measurements
Bust measurement: 114 (118) 123 (132) 136 (140) 149 (154) 157 cm. Body length measured center back including the neckband: approx. 57 (59,5) 61,5 (63,5) 64,5 (67) 70 (70,5) 71 cm. Sleeve length measured from where the sleeve is added: 31 (31) 33 (33) 35 (35) 35 (35) 35 cm. Be aware that Silk Mohair is a very flexible material, and the bust measurement is too flexible.
The sweater is meant to have positive ease on 15-35 cm, depending on how oversized you like your sweater to be.

Materials
200 (225/250) 225/250 (250) 275/300 (275/300) 275/300 (275/300) 275/300 g of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive 225 m/25 g or another similar Silk Mohair quality held double. If you choose to knit your sweater in two different colors held together as I did, you will have to choose the biggest amount of yarn mentioned in your size.
Be aware! If you choose yarn from another yarn company than Knitting for Olive pick one more yarn ball in size XXS and L.
The pictured version is a size XS and has positive ease on 36 cm – the model’s bust measurement is 82 cm. The sweater is knitted up in two strands of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive. The colors are Wheat and Oat held together.

You will also need 5 stitch markers knitting this sweater – 2 of the stitch markers will need to be able to open as a safety pin.

Needles
The sweater is knitted in a moss stitch pattern doubled in the height – back and forth and in the round on circular needles 80-100 cm, 4 mm using two strands of Soft Silk Mohair. I recommend having two circular needles (80 cm) size 4 mm, which makes it easier for you when stitches are set to rest. Sure, you can use a stitch holder, a wire, or a thread too. The ribbed collar and the ribbed hem on the sleeves are knitted on a circular needle (80 cm) size 3.5 mm. I use the Magic Loop technic otherwise you will need a circular needle (40 cm).

Gauge
21 x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needle size 3.5 mm in ribbing (k1, p1)
18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm on needle size 4 mm in Moss stitch doubled in height.
