9mm (UK 00 - US 13) knitting needles
10mm (UK 000 - US N/15) crochet hook
Length of wooden dowel

TENSION (GAUGE)
12 stitches and 13 rows to 10 cm, 4 in, measured over fairisle
pattern using 9mm (UK 00- US 13) needles, or size required
to give correct tension (gauge).
