This retro inspired cardigan has an ample and boxy shape - which is updated by it’s extra long sleeves and fun stripes in different sequences.
The deep feminine neckline and the use of blocks of colour add interest and enhance the overall shape by modernizing an otherwise traditional and masculine garment.
It is completely seamless and worked almost in one piece, from the top down. The sleeves and the buttonband are done with short rows and by picking up stitches from the body.
The resulting garment is very light and comfortable, since it is done out of fingering weight sock yarn.

The following Errata has been updated in the pattern:
Errata 18.07.2013: at page 4 (Body increases) it should read:
Repeat increase row 3(3,3,3,2,2,3,2) times on every 4th row. (Instead of “repeat increase row 4(4,4,4,3,3,4,3)times on every 4th row.”)
Errata 12.08.2013: at page 4, when joining back and fronts is says “PM between them”, meaning that the marker will be placed in the middle of the CO sts.
