The Fur Kids sweaters came about because there are very few sweaters to fit larger pets and even less for barrel chested dogs. I have a very large barrel chested dog I love very much and he needed a sweater.

This sweater was designed for the toy group but is easily adapted to fit most any pet you love. This includes cats using the smaller size.

Sizing for this group came down to 2 sizes fits most. The design has written so you can knit to the size of your pet.

Most any fingering weight yarn will work with this pattern. I have had people test knit using dk weight with good results.
